Hacker Alert

A lot of communities have been buzzing about it lately, someone is hacking into accounts and posting malicious spam to communities. A few people have even had their personal journals vandalized or flat out deleted. It seems that the hackers gaining access to journals via lapsed email accounts. So if you used a hotmail account to sign up for a journal and it's since lapsed, you'll want to change that ASAP!
You can delete old e-mail addresses associated with your account that you no longer use or have control over here: http://www.livejournal.com/tools/emailmanage.bml
You can also set up a security question for a bit of added protection: https://www.livejournal.com/set_secret.bml
So get updating people! Don't let these jerks mess with your lj fun! And on that note, I really should look into backing up my journal. I might die if all my entries just disappeared x_X
