So there you have it. The name of my band (singer in this case) is Peter Westervelt. The title comes from a Lady Bird Johnson quote: "The way you overcome shyness is to become so wrapped up in something that you forget to be afraid." And the image is a photo of a Quebec street at night.

Saturday, March 17th, 2007 07:20 amIt snowed today. It was so nice out the other day and then BAM, snow! I was actually awake and had the day off, so Niku and I went out to play in it. She put her jacket on and went hopping around like a crazy dog. She's so cute. She loves snow. ^_^ I ended up shoveling the driveway and uncovering my car. Then I was all sweaty and took a nice bath. After that, I took a nap. When I woke up, the snow had turned to sleet. I was supposed to take my cousin to the movies to see 300. I was so close to canceling on account of the nasty weather, but I decided to go anyway. I had to go dig out my car again and then I had to drive out to pick up my cousin from work. It was an adventure. I was just really careful on the road. I didn't have any problems because I Was being so careful. There were a lot of plows up cleaning up the nasty mess the weather had made of the roads.
We got to the movie theater just fine. Elizabeth works there. She was telling me how she got hired at Quizno's to be a manager there. Woo... Anyway, we had seats in the top center of the theater so I could see the Spartans in all their ripped glory. They showed a preview for Blades of Glory. OMG! It looks positively ridiculous! I have to see it. Anyway, back to 300, it's like continuous gory eyecandy with a dash of plot and bonus boobies thrown in. Quite nice really. After the movie, we went to Denny's and chowed down on fried foods. Our waitress thought she was so clever and funny. She came up to us and said, "There's been a little trouble in the kitchen, I hop you don't mind spit in your food." ....Totally not amused by that. She's lucky I tipped 15% because she really wasn't worth it. She served some guy while talking on her cell phone! Cell phones will be the death of customer service. You just wait and see.
Anyway, I stole this meme from Dae. It's a music meme. Yay!
