Just a little announcement to make if you were involved in the Yaoi Hotel back in the day. Not too long ago, Paco closed the doors of the Yaoi Hotel for good. However, the owner of the webspace that she was using just doesn't want to let the site go. Instead, she's trying to resurrect the site using the former content that she doesn't have permission to use.

The board codes that were originally gifted to Paco by Chingirl are up and in use despite the change of ownership. (If you remember back even farther, these are the board codes Chingirl created and used for Hujoshi Paradise.) Also, some of the content remains on those boards. Fics and art that were hosted on the original are still found there despite Paco having attempted to delete most of this content. What remains is mostly what the Yaoi Hotel was known best for, it's Dragonball Z content.

You can see the remains of the site here. Lists of old users and some of the content remains in the archives. Other fics and art remain up on the boards. If you don't want this content to remain there, I suggest you contact the domain owner Felix.

You might want to pass this around to other former Yaoi Hotel members and DBZ fans as a heads up. Personally, I think it's tacky to resurrect someone else's site with content you don't have permission to use. But hey, that's just me.

Dear God...I remember that site from waaaay back-and then it suddenly disappeared. Luckily my one very crappy piece of fanart is no longer there. But damn to use someone else's site like that is bad form. o_O

Btw-What ever happened to B-chan? She was one of my favorites besides you back when I was into DBZ. She suddenly seemed to have disappeared too.

Well, the Yaoi Hotel was deleted more than once from places it had been hosted. It's more permanent home was on that server and then Paco just didn't have time for it anymore and decided to close it, but as you can see someone else had other ideas.

As for B-Chan, I really couldn't tell you. She just up and disappeared. This was back before good blogs and networking sites that connected us like this so I really don't know. It always was something of a mystery.

The fact this 'person' is doing this does not surprise me. This 'person' enjoys beating dead horses that are years and years old and are beyond even bones.

Cruising around this site HAS brought back some nice memories, though!

Boy! I miss b-chan and her great art and stories!

Whoa, haha. Suprised me when I saw this. I did give her permission to use the DBZ sectionof the site some years ago, but she never did than suddenly was bringing back the netire concept of the site which I didn't like, might as well change the name at least, recontact everyone...I spent many months simply emailing authors and artists asking for permission to host their stuff. (It's how I met Katalyst, Forchan, and Dark!)

If I ever learn PHP I do plan at least restarting a similar site, if only for memories <3

I get so happy when random people recognize my name or the sites name ;o;
